We are proud to share that Juno has achieved Rainbow Tick accreditation, a nationally recognised symbol of inclusive practice for organisations that demonstrate cultural safety and support for the LGBTQIASB+ community.
This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to creating services, workplaces and environments where LGBTQIASB+ people feel safe, respected and affirmed.
Our journey to Rainbow Tick accreditation
In 2023, Juno established a Rainbow Strategic Working Group, bringing together staff and leadership to guide this work. Their focus was clear: to strengthen our practice and ensure our services are inclusive, safe(r) and affirming for LGBTQIASB+ clients, staff and volunteers.
This has been a thoughtful, organisation-wide process, shaping our policies, frameworks and day-to-day practice. Over the past two years, this has included:
- Listening to staff through surveys and responding to what we heard
- Creating more welcoming and accessible office environments
- Actively recognising and celebrating key LGBTQIASB+ events and initiatives
- Strengthening policies, procedures and processes to embed cultural safety and inclusion
Through the Rainbow Tick Implementation Program, delivered by Rainbow Health Australia and supported by the Victorian Government, we were able to take meaningful steps towards accreditation.
A milestone for Juno
In 2025 Juno engaged Quality Innovation Performance (QIP) to undertake the formal accreditation process. This involved a comprehensive self-assessment against the 6 Rainbow Tick Standards to reflect deeply on our practice and demonstrate that we are a safe, inclusive and affirming service and employer for the LGBTQIA+ community.
In February 2026, Juno welcomed the assessment team to the Juno office to undertake the onsite assessment. This was an opportunity to share not how we have embedded inclusion across not only our policies and processes, but also the culture we have built, and continue to build, that is grounded in respect, inclusion and a genuine commitment to equity.
Achieving Rainbow Tick in March 2026 was a significant milestone for Juno, and one that reflects the work of our staff who continually contribute to creating safe, respectful and welcoming environments for LGBTQIASB+ people.
This is not the end of the journey. Across all programs, teams and roles, Juno is committed to strengthening our practice, listening to communities, and ensuring our services continue to be inclusive, affirming and responsive.
