At Juno, we are proud of the diversity of our service users, staff and wider community. We welcome all women (trans and cis), non-binary, gender diverse people and children and believe self-definition is at the discretion of the individual. We are committed to becoming an Intersex, Trans, and Gender Diverse friendly service.
At Juno, we aim to create an inclusive and safe environment for service users, staff, and other stakeholders. We proudly work with women, gender diverse people and children to support them in achieving their goals; gaining access to safe, affordable housing, and living free from violence.
Juno supports people with a range of needs, this is why we also provide:
- Visible support/visual cues, including inclusive symbols, posters, pamphlets and language
- Gender-neutral/inclusive intake forms and processes
- Active pronoun usage and affirmation
- Gender-neutral restrooms/facilities
- Continuous education and training for staff
- Lived Experience Advisory Working Group which includes members from LGBTQIASB+ communities
- Celebrating queer-friendly events such as Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31st), International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism & Transphobia – IDAHOBIT (May 17th), Pride Month (June) and Wear it Purple (Aug 29th)

How to Receive Support
Juno provides housing support across the City of Merri-bek and City of Hume and accepts referrals from VincentCare and Women’s Housing Ltd. As part of the Victorian Government’s Opening Doors Framework, we are unable to accept self-referrals. If you are experiencing homelessness in another area of Melbourne, you must contact your Local Access Point for assessment and referral to a support service in your area.
Visit our Access Points page for a list of Homelessness Access Points across Melbourne.
