Powering Future Choices: Community Education Workshops
Empowering community members through knowledge and support, delivered by lived/ living experience peer educators
Juno, in collaboration with Anglicare, invites all women (trans and cis) and non-binary individuals residing in Naarm (Melbourne) to join our Powering Future Choices community education workshops. The workshops aim to equip and empower participants with valuable resources and options for their future through a series of engaging and informative sessions.
Delivered in English
Lived/Living Experience Peer Educators
What sets the workshops apart is our team of lived/living experience peer educators who facilitate each workshop. These educators are individuals who have survived family violence and/or homelessness and are using their experiences to guide and support others. They work alongside participants to build knowledge and encourage the sharing of expertise within the space.
Four-Part Workshop Series
The four-part series covers:

In- Language Series (Arabic)
This series has been co-produced alongside a Community Leader within Middle Eastern Diaspora communities. This series is delivered in Arabic only and is designed to create a space for connection and knowledge sharing within a culturally informed and safer space.
Lived/Living Experience Peer Educators
In the context of our in-language series, the principal facilitator holds a depth of cultural lived/ living experience in her own right. She is supported in her practice by a multicultural peer with lived/ living experience of family violence and homelessness. It is important to note that this peer sits outside of the Middle Eastern Diaspora communities.
