Juno has been classified as an essential community service and remains open during the extended two week lockdown in Victoria to provide critical housing and family violence support.
Getting support
Juno’s office will remain open during this lockdown with adjusted face-to-face delivery and staffing in the office. During this extended lockdown, we must deliver our services differently in order to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. This includes following the Federal and Victorian Government’s guidelines for screening for flu and COVID-19 symptoms, while practicing social distancing, hygiene practices and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and masks.
Most case management will be done over the phone or via Zoom
Our case workers continue to provide critical case management support to clients. Most case management will be done over the phone or via Zoom where possible.
We encourage all clients to contact us on 03 8692 2020 before coming in and we’ll try to provide support over the phone. This will help to minimise the risk of transmission. Where in-person support is needed, we will complete a COVID-19 screening prior to the meeting to make sure we’re all staying safe.
There will be no visits inside homes or hotels during this period, but we can support you over the phone or via Zoom, or in a COVID-19 safe location.
Domestic and family violence during COVID-19
You are allowed to leave your home at any time to escape family violence during Victoria’s seven-day lockdown. You will not be fined. More information on the Government Coronavirus website.
Safe Steps is Victoria’s 24/7 Family Violence Response Centre. You can contact them for support any time of the day or night on 1800 015 188.
Coronavirus hotline
If you suspect you may have coronavirus (COVID-19) call the dedicated hotline – open 24 hours, 7 days on 1800 675 398.
